Toyota slowly started rolling out Dynamic Navigation in 2018. Dynamic Navigation is apart of Toyota Connected Services and updates your maps regularly and on its own – requiring no updates on your end.

NOTE: If your vehicle requires an SD-Navigation update the software is typically updated annually in the fall. Make sure to call Beaverton Toyota before making your purchase because the updates may not be significant in your driving area. Also, please note that areas of detailed mapping are primarily located around population centers.

  • Only Toyota vehicles in which 0w-20 synthetic oil is required (except 3UR-FBE Engines*) have been approved for extended oil change intervals of 10,000-miles/12-months. (However, you should continue to check the oil level regularly, Toyota recommends every 6 months and top off if needed. That will help your engine get the full benefit of synthetic oil.)
  • In the case of vehicles with 10,000 mile oil change intervals, the 5,000 mile service interval has not been eliminated. The traditional 5,000 mile maintenance procedures (such as tire rotation) will continue to be required, and the fluid levels (such as brake fluid) will need to be checked and adjusted at this time.
  • Vehicles in which 0w-20 is an option to 5w-20 mineral oil, (or 5w-30), will continue to require 5,000-mile/6-month oil change intervals, even if 0w-20 oil is used.
  • If the vehicle operation meets the standard criteria for "Special Operating Conditions" such as: driving off-road, on dirt roads, towing a trailer, making repeated short trips under 32° F, or extensive idling; the engine oil must be replaced at 5,000 mile intervals, regardless of what type of oil is used.

If the Tire Pressure Monitor System senses seriously low pressure in one of your tires, the low tire pressure icon will appear in the instrument display and you'll see a warning message in the Multi-Information Display.

If the indicator light stays on, check all the tires and refill, repair or replace any that are below the proper pressure.

Rotating tires, changing tire pressures, or switching tire sizes could trigger the warning.

To reset the system, first make sure the tire pressures are correct. Then turn the engine on, press and hold the reset button. You'll find it low and to the right of the steering wheel on the instrument panel.

Hold the button down until the TPMS indicator light in the instrument panel blinks slowly 3 three times. Wait for several minutes with the engine running, to allow the system to record each tire's pressure, then turn the engine off.

If the light comes on and blinks when you start the car, something may not be working properly, and you should take it to a Toyota dealership to be inspected.

If you replace one of the original wheels or pressure sensors, you'll need to reach out to Beaverton Toyota to assist.

Not all features are available on all vehicles and model grades. Please see your Owner's Manual for further details and important safety information.

Disclaimer: The Toyota Tire Pressure Monitor alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See your Owner's Manual for details.

Yes, there is an alternate way to enter and start the engine with a dead Smart Key. There is a mechanical key within the Smart Key that will open the driver's door. Once you enter the vehicle, hold the Smart Key next to the START button and depress. This will most likely allow the engine to start. If the engine doesn't start and the power door locks are inoperable, the concern may be a weak engine battery and not a weak Smart Key battery. Contact us at Beaverton Toyota with any questions.

No, ToyotaCare no cost maintenance is available at any participating Toyota Dealer in the continental United States and Alaska. ToyotaCare no cost maintenance must be performed by a participating Toyota dealership.

Not necessarily and in most cases the oil and filter change follow the synthetic oil change schedule and oil changes take place every 10,000 miles or 12 months. Certain models require a different maintenance schedule as described in their Warranty and Maintenance Guide.

ToyotaCare is transferable to subsequent owners of eligible models provided the vehicle has not exceeded the 2 years or 25,000 miles complimentary period.

Tire life is affected by many factors including maintenance services such as wheel alignment, tire rotation, tire balance, and proper inflation pressure, as well as driving habits. It can also vary due to differences in climate and road conditions. To increase the longevity of the tires on your vehicle, it is recommended that you check the tire pressure at least once a month. During your regular service visits at Beaverton Toyota we will inspect all things tire related and make recommendations based on your vehicle needs.

Tire pressure recommendations vary by vehicle but a typical range of 33 – 37 is ideal. Tire pressures are adjusted during your routine service visits to factory specifications. Please check the Specifications section of your Owner’s Manual or the Tire Information placard usually affixed to the driver's side door post.

Tread depth determines when a tire(s) should be replaced, we are constantly monitoring your tires tread depth during your routine maintenance and should be reviewed by your Service Consultant. It is time to replace tires at 3/32”. Depending on state laws and your driving habits, you may need to replace the tires sooner. Tires may also need to be replaced if they are physically damaged, showing abnormal wear or are unsuitable for driving conditions.

We recommend you perform a wheel alignment once every 12 months or when installing a new set of tires. Indicators of a possible wheel alignment concern are the steering wheel pulling to the left or right and abnormal tire wear. Bring your vehicle in to Beaverton Toyota and we can perform an alignment check.
