Where are Toyotas Made?
Toyota vehicles are produced at manufacturing facilities across the globe, including in Japan, the United States, Canada, Mexico, and various countries in Europe and Asia, with the production location typically depending on the specific model and the market where it will be sold.
Toyota operates over 50 manufacturing plants worldwide, producing vehicles close to the markets they serve. In North America, Toyota has factories in the U.S. (Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, Texas, Mississippi), Canada, and Mexico. You can confirm where your Toyota was built by checking the first digit of your VIN numbers 1, 4, and 5 mean the U.S., 2 is Canada, 3 is Mexico, and letters often represent Japan or Europe.
