Make Sure Your Converter Is Traceable

Another method you can utilize to deter thieves is to ensure your catalytic converter is easily traceable. Thieves do not want to leave a trail that can lead back to them, and most catalytic converters have no evidence of the car they were taken from. This means they can easily be sold to scrap yards with minimal risk to the thief.

A brightly colored spray paint can be applied to your converter, making it stand out more. In this way, it becomes much more obvious if a thief is carrying one.
