This way we can coordinate the registration of your vehicle for you. When purchasing a New Toyota, you’ll receive a temporary 90-day permit while you wait for your registration and license plates to arrive in your mail. This typically takes 4-6 weeks. When purchasing a Used Vehicle, if the vehicle doesn’t already have license plates on it, you will receive a 21-day trip permit and ultimately 2 years of registration. Out of State residents are responsible for their local taxes and DMV fees as well as the Oregon Corporate Activity Tax. The privilege and corporate activity taxes apply to sales of vehicles to lessors. The tax is calculated based on the retail sales price paid by the lessor to the dealer "agreed upon value of the vehicle" as stated in the lease agreement. If you choose to purchase your vehicle at the end of your lease term, you’ll pay Privilege and Corporate Activity Tax on the depreciated price.

DEQ does not require emissions testing of newer model year vehicles because they typically have lower mileage and are therefore less likely to experience problems with their emissions control systems. For calendar year 2020, Model Years 2017 and newer do not require DEQ testing.
